SATURDAY: SAT "UR" DAY
#WEEKENDVIBES
Hello Readers,
Haha..so in my creativity, i was able to coin a three word sentence from the word saturday (now don't start to judge me, i am not being cocky, i am just excited that it formed a sentence).
I don't know what the general tradition is in your house, but i can bet its the same in most Nigerian houses(i stand to be corrected).
Saturday is a day for Pap and Akara i guess, plenty house chores for the kids and of course Owambe for the adults. Actually in my house the Pap and Akara stands for Rice and stew(and i kinda feel we are not alone), we take Pap only when one person is down with the flu. That's by the way sha.
Personally, i think its a day where families
Should try to bond after a busy week and all especially Lagosians. i believe saturday is a day for fellowshipping together, updating one another on how the week went, laughing together and playing together, trust me, monday to Friday cannot do enough justice to that, i guess that is why the word connotes *sat* "ur" *day* .. But of course its been converted to *groove* "ur"*day*, for many of us ,it is the official party day for Nigerians.
As a youth, when you start your family would you like to also continue the owambe tradition, or would you prefer to sit"ur"day and enjoy it with your family?
Tell me what the weekend is like in your house and if that style suits you or not.
Drop a comment, help a sister know she's not just talking to ghost readers..lol..Thanks for reading.(picture credit:naija.ng)
