I AM NOT A LAZY NIGERIAN YOUTH
A day before I woke up to the voices of very angry Nigerian youths on social media, many of them aggravated at the lack of diplomacy expressed by our president, General. Muhammad Buhari while speaking at the common wealth business forum in London, and at some point referred to a lot of Nigerian youths as lazy.
The youths were more provoked because in general opinion even president Muhammad Buhari was yet to fulfill any of the promises made to youths during his campaign.
Many educated youths are jobless owing to the fact that the country currently suffers from high rate of unemployment. Who should be blamed for this if not the government?
Although, certain people like Atiku Abubakar has gone in defense of the youths to express their reverence for youths and how important they believe youths are.
Whether he means it or not we refuse to be patronised.
In the defense of the president it has been stated by the presidency that our dear president was only misquoted and that he has great regards for the youths of this country and he will in no respect belittle them.
Although the situation has calmed down, but what gave me so much joy was that many youths took to social media; twitter, instagram, to express themselves stating their side hustles in a country like this and using the hashtag #lazynigerianyouth.
I would be sharing some of these tweet with you, and also some Nigerian youths and their side hustle to show you how much Nigerian youths are working to make ends meet.

2019's election promises to be a tough one, because the youths are beginning to get more interested in politics and who they vote in. This makes me so glad, you would understand better when you read my article on
